Terri Shapiro – Office Manager

Terri our schedule coordinator and office manager, has experience working with the general public for 20 years. Eight of which were spent in the dental field. She has worked in restaurants, waitressing and management. She loves animals and worked in a Veterinarian’s office. She has found the dental field to be the most challenging and rewarding, so she decided it to make it her career. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys camping, boating or just having a quiet family time. Her hobbies include: stamping, crocheting and making jewelry. Terri is available to answer any questions you may have. If she does not know the answer to a question, she will find it out for you right away.

Kathy McShane-O'Connor – Patient Care Coordinator

Kathy has been a dental receptionist for 10 years. She has lived in Virginia since 1970. Kathy has worked in customer service for 23 years and then moved on to become a dental receptionist. She very much enjoys working with people and helping them deal with their insurances. She married David O'Connor in April of 2002 and she has a son named Shane who is 17. They reside in Manassas and share their home with 3 kittens and 2 dogs. She enjoys traveling, going to flea markets and spending time with her family and friends.

Judy Brown – Dental Assistant

Judy, born in Florida and raised in Richmond, VA, has been working in the dental field for over 13 years. She takes pride in her attention to detail and caring qualities and strives to give the best care possible to every patient. With that in mind, she has hopes of one day going on an Operation Smile mission trip. In her off time she enjoys reading, going to the beach or pool, traveling (she has been to Rome and hopes to visit Ireland and Spain one day), exploring the area around where she lives, and just spending time with her friends and family.

Helen Otero – Dental Assistant

I am a native of the Philippines and immigrated to United States on August 8, 2001. I've been a dental assistant for over 6 years. I enjoy volunteer work and actively participates at MOM (MIssion of Mercy) at Northern Virginia Community College. I completed a two year undergraduate study in Pre-dentistry at University of the East and three years of Professional study leading to a DDM degree in the Philippines.

I love to cook, read, watch movies, play piano and spend time with my 4 year old son, Gabriel. I attend Sunday worship at Morning Glory Redeemed Church and in the afternoon I spend time at the Grace Filipino community where I get to connect with my kababayan which makes me feel at home and happy. My son loves attending Sunday School, where he gets do art crafts and play with other children his age. I grew up in a small family. I have one brother, Noel, who still lives with my parents in Manila.

Melissa Brown – Dental Hygienist

Melissa joined the practice in May 2008 as out Dental Hygienist. A native Rhode Islander, Melissa is a 1990 graduate of the University of Rhode Island Dental Hygiene program. In 1991, she graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She practiced in her hometown of East Greenwich for 10 years before moving to Virginia in 2000 and made Woodbridge her home. Melissa and her husband currently live in Woodbridge with their son and two dogs. Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and is an avid sports fan.
